Capuchino is a free web app for Spanish learners past B1. Your students measure their vocabulary, study what they’re missing, and share their progress with you. Free for teachers.
What happens between lessons, you can’t see
You see your students for an hour or two a week. What they do the rest of the time decides how far they get, and you don’t see it. When the course ends, most of them stall and you lose touch.
What you see
- Their level and vocabulary range, from a 3-minute adaptive test.
- Their results over time, so you know whether they’re moving forward.
- Their connector practice and word exports, so you know whether they study between lessons.
- The texts they analyze, title and length only.
- Their notes and questions for you.
You can comment on any item and send them messages. Every new comment arrives by email, in each person’s own language.
How it works
- Your student invites you from their profile, with your email address. The invitation arrives in Spanish.
- You accept, whether or not you have an account. Your student decides whether you also see their earlier activity.
- You follow their progress and comment. Either of you can end the connection at any time, and access stops immediately.

For now, the student sends the invitation. Copy this message and send it by WhatsApp or email, with your email address in the blank.

Your students decide what to share
- You see nothing until you accept the invitation.
- You never see the content of the texts they analyze.
- Anything they mark private stays private.
- No one else sees their activity.
The database itself enforces these rules, and they’re tested.
For language schools
Keep your advanced students learning with you after the course.
- Retention: the students who keep practicing with their teacher are the ones who come back for the next level.

What does it cost?
Nothing for teachers. Later on, students will be able to upgrade to Premium for feedback on their writing.
Does Capuchino sell lessons or take a commission?
No. We don’t sell lessons or take a commission. Your students stay yours.
How accurate is the level?
It’s an estimate with a range, not a DELE grade. Your judgment is still what counts.
Is it for beginners?
Not yet. Capuchino is built for learners from B1 up.
