    What each tool does

Capuchino's tools work together: find out where your vocabulary runs out, collect the words worth learning, and practice them. Here's what each one does.

    Your level

    The assessment

Rate about 25 words, each shown on its own first and then in a real sentence if you need it. The test adapts as you go, picking each next word where your answer tells us the most, and shows how far down the 10,000 most frequent Spanish words your solid understanding reaches. About 3 minutes, no account needed.

Your result is a range, not a single number, with a rough level and your pattern: solid up to one point, patchy to another, mostly new after that. Sharpen it later with a few more questions; your earlier answers count.

    Share your result

One tap turns your result into a card with your number, level and pattern, and a link anyone can open to take the test themselves. Nothing is public until you share it, and you can delete any link from your profile.

    Vocabulary

    My gap list

Every word you probably don't know yet, starting at the bottom of your range, plus the words you marked shaky or unknown in the test. Correct anything with one tap: “I know this” takes a word off the list, “not sure” keeps it on.

Filter by frequency band and status. The list feeds your topic lists and your Anki exports, so a correction made here holds everywhere.

    Topics

Thirty lists drawn from the 10,000 most frequent words, from the human body and the kitchen to politics, science and the arts. Each shows which words you already know, so you can study a theme and keep only the gaps.

    Analyze a text

Paste a Spanish article, email or chapter, and Capuchino highlights the words likely to be beyond your range. Mark the ones you actually know, and add the rest to your gap list in one go. It's the quickest way to turn your own reading into study material.

    Analyze a text

    Export to Anki

Pick topics, a frequency range and statuses, and download a file Anki imports in one step: the word with its article, its meaning and a real example sentence. Every word has a fixed ID, so exporting again later updates your cards instead of duplicating them.

    Connectors (early access)

Connectors carry the logic of advanced writing and speaking: sin embargo, no obstante, de ahí que, si bien. This module drills about 245 of them, grouped by what they do (contrast, cause, concession…) and by level from A2 to C1.

Recognize them in real sentences, or switch to Produce and type them yourself, with feedback on accents and a quick retype after a miss. Each connector comes back on a spaced schedule until it sticks.
